Spring Break Part 3: Mussels in Brussels

Bonjour!

I'm ashamed to admit that the moment I returned to the United States my desire to blog vanished. Before I head back to school in the fall I thought I would at least upload the rest of my travel pictures with captions!

The third part of my Spring break was in Lille, France and Brussels, Belgium. For this portion I met up with Dakota!
Dakota at this school in Lille, France.

A crowded photo of the Manneken Pis. This sculpture of a boy peeing is oddly famous in Brussels.

The Brussels city center.

Another snapshot of the Manneken Pis.

Of course I could not go to Brussels and not have mussels! The food and drink in Brussels was fantastic (some of the best I had in Europe). These blue cheese flavored mussels were a favorite of mine!

Another food snapshot. This french fry stand had approx. 40 different sauces you could put on your fries! We chose the provincial sauce which tasted almost like salsa!

And of course a trip to Belgium is not complete without trying a waffle! Belgian waffles are pretty tasty!

Sorry again for posting this so late (and for the lack of detail). Stay tuned for other posts with the rest of my photos!

With love,
Carolyn
